Abstract
A new procedure for data rectification in chemical processes using mass bal ances is presented in this article. Fluctuations are taken account of direc tly in the reconciliation procedure, whereas their statistical properties a re determined by means of a tuning procedure that makes use of the usual ch i-tests.
