Abstract
Modern head and neck cancer treatment is a carefully designed combination o f surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. This article briefly explains the r ationale for multidisciplinary care and highlights the role of each member of the multidisciplinary team. Special consideration is given to the unique role of plastic surgeons with particular interest in head and neck reconst ruction and microvascular surgery.
