The performance of a small size high-temperature superconducting 1 bit
phase shifter (Delta Phi = 45 degrees) is reported. The phase shifter
is based on the transition from the superconducting state to thc norm
al state induced by a DC control current. A capacitance and a switchab
le inductance in shunt are used to achieve the phase shift. The result
s of a simulation and an experimental investigation are compared.
