Abstract
A new single-phase ZVT-PWM boost converter with an active snubber is propos ed to achieve unity power factor operations for a wide load range. The uniq ue location of the resonant inductor and capacitor ensures that low switchi ng stress and commutation losses are obtained in the converter. The propose d converter is suitable for high power factor correctors.
