Abstract
A field experiment was conducted during winter season of 1994-96 with 'Guj. Fennel 1' fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) grown on sandy-loam soil. Pote ntial production and profit,could be obtained from 'Guj. Fennel 1' by sched uling irrigation at an irrigation water : cumulative pan evaporation (IW: C PE) ratio of 1.0 (total 10 irrigations, each of 50 mm depth) and fertilizin g the crop with 90 kg N/ha and 30 kg P2O5/ha under north Gujarat agroclimat ic conditions.
