Abstract
According to constructivism, reaching is nor telling, but rather the facili tation of an experience that leads toward the construction of knowledge. As long as there is consensus with respect to this strategy, constructivism w ill be seen as a panacea. At the epistemological level almost all forms of constructivism have arisen as an alternative to positivism. constructivists are ontological that is, although the world cannot be known, it exists bey ond our perception. Some dispute the existence of a world that cannot be ob served as it is beyond our perception. This leads to the emphasis on 'parti cipant observation.' In other words, a student should be evaluated based on what he has learnt and not on what he should have learnt. This posture is similar to anti-realism and constructivism, instead of being a panacea, bec omes a problem.
