Abstract
Solid phase synthesis of epoxides from alkenoic acids followed by ring -opening reactions with sodium azide or thiophenols and subsequent cle avage from the polymeric support afford gamma-and delta-lactones in go od yields and high purity. (C) 1997 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
