Abstract
Four never cyclic homodecapetide antibiotics, streptocidins A similar toD w ere detected in the mycelium extract of Streptomyces sp. Tu 6071 by HPLC-di ode-array and HPLC-electrospray-mass-spectrometry screening. The peptides w hich were closely related in structure to the tyrocidines and gramicidins o f Bacillus brevis show antibiotic activities against Gram-positive bacteria .
