Abstract
A piecewise linear unified yield criterion called the twin-shear-unified wa
s proposed It is based on a kind of orthogonal dodecahedron stress element.
The effects of intermediate principal stress are taken into account such t
hat most available yield loci on the pi -plane are embraced in a unified ma
nner. Besides, it is capable to represent not only convex limit surfaces bu
t also nonconvex limit surfaces.
