The physical solubility and diffusivity of CO2 in aqueous DEA solutions wer
e measured directly in this work via the "protonation method". The concentr
ation of DEA in the aqueous solutions was 10, 20, and 30 mass %. The measur
ements were done in the temperature range (25-60) degreesC at atmospheric p
ressure. Correlations for the solubility and diffusivity as a function of t
emperature were developed. The results were compared with the values calcul
ated on the basis of the N2O analogy. New correlations for the solubilities
and diffusivities of CO2 and N2O in water were also developed.
