Sputtered lithium zinc ferrite films were studied using transmission electr
on microscopy to investigate the microstructure morphology and its correlat
ion with the observed magnetic properties as a function of annealing temper
ature and time. The present study showed that the films contain nanocrystal
lites. The observed magnetic order in the films is because of inter granula
r coupling through low angle grain boundaries. The anomalous magnetic prope
rties observed earlier in these firms can be explained on the basis of the
