Abstract
New bisnorditerpenes, hedaols A (1), B (2), and C (3), were isolated from t he Japanese brown alga Sargassum sp. Their structures were determined by sp ectroscopic analysis. The absolute stereocenter of 1 was determined by the modified Mosher's method. Hedaols showed low cytotoxicity against P388 cell s.
