CHARACTERIZATION OF CORRUGATED BOARD PANELS - AN EXPERIMENTAL-STUDY

This study deals with the constitutive element of a corrugated structu re, i.e. the corrugated sandwich panel. A global characterization of t his panel has been realized, based on the direct relationship between loads and displacements. It has led to equations defining the global c haracteristics necessary to know the behaviour of corrugated board und er tension, bending, twisting and shearing. Mechanical tests to measur e these physical constants have been defined and appropriate test fixt ures have been developed.
