Abstract
Formalism for the full relativistic treatment of the spectral and angular d istributions of the bremsstrahlung formed in collision of a charged particl e with an atom is developed, Both leading mechanisms of the radiation forma tion, i.e, the ordinary and the polarizational bremsstrahlung, are incorpor ated into the scheme, Limiting cases of the general formulae are investigat ed in detail and it is demonstrated that the general formalism reproduces c orrectly the results of these simpler theories.
