D. Suh et Rh. Dauskardt, Effects of pre-charged hydrogen on the mechanical and thermal behavior of Zr-Ti-Ni-Cu-Be bulk metallic glass alloys, MATER TRANS, 42(4), 2001, pp. 638-641
The effects of pre-charged hydrogen on the deformation, fracture and therma
l behavior of a Zr-Ti-Ni-Cu-Be bulk metallic glass were investigated. The g
lass transition and crystallization temperatures were shifted to higher val
ues with increasing hydrogen charging indicating sluggish kinetics. Flow st
ress was increased and fracture toughness was degraded after hydrogen charg
ing. The atomic jump process which underlies the plastic deformation is bel
ieved to be retarded by hydrogen resulting in embrittlement.
