Abstract
Reaction of K-3[Cr(CN)(6)] with a square-planar macrocyclic Ni(ii) complex leads to a 2D honeycomb-like layered complex with novel hydrogen-bonding li nkages in the honeycomb. Magnetic studies reveal that the complex displays a long range antiferromagnetic ordering with T-N=12.6 K at low field, and m etamagnetic behavior originating from intralayer ferromagnetic and interlay er antiferromagnetic interactions.
