Abstract
For a known classical basic proximity (separated, EF, LO, RI, or p-pro ximity), a mechanism is developed to construct a corresponding fuzzy p roximity. The order structure of the families of fuzzy basic proximiti es due to Kotze [Comm. IFSA Math. Chapter 1 (1987) 12], and that based on Artico and Moresco [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 21 (1987) 85] are also considered. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
