Abstract
Radiative and non-radiative recombination processes of excitons in quantum dots or diluted magnetic semiconductors were studied in magnetic fields. Th e Cd1-xMnxSe quantum dots fabricated by the self-organized mode on ZnSe sho wed marked increases of the photoluminescence intensity and the decay time in the magnetic field. These phenomena are related to the magnetic field in duced shrinkage of the exciton Bohr radius. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
