Abstract
Chemical composition of antifriction coatings applied by micro-are oxidatio n to a BT16 type titanium alloy is studied by X-ray diffractometry, X-ray p hotoelectron spectroscopy, laser mass spectrometry, and differential therma l analysis. Based on the experimental data obtained, a conclusion on the na ture of low friction coefficients of the studied layers is drawn.
