The use of Fe/Cr magnetoresistive sensors at temperatures below 2 K is prop
osed. Compared to-the cryogenic Hall probe based on the two-dimensional ele
ctron gas the main advantages of the Fe/Cr sensor are discussed: (i) very l
ow power dissipation, (ii) temperature independence of sensor sensitivity.
