Abstract
A new ferromagnetic metastable alloy of nominal composition Fe62.5Co6Ni7.5Z r6Cu1Nb2B15 characterised by high amplitude of magneto-elastic wave has bee n recently introduced. Suitable thermal treatments have been found to induc e in this system a nanocrystalline phase. In this work the magneto-impedanc e behaviour has been studied as a function of microstructure in samples sub mitted to different annealing conditions such as conventional and current a nnealing. A strong correlation among microstructure, average magnetic aniso tropy and magneto-transport properties has been found. A comparison with ma gneto-acoustic wave measurements has been performed.
