Abstract
This work deals with the design of coils to obtain a desired magnetic field in the axial direction. A computer program has been developed to implement the obtained equations and assist the design. Practical results are given to illustrate the accuracy of theoretical predictions with measured magneti c field curves. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
