Abstract
The superconducting properties of mixtures of microcrystalline powder of be ta (CO)-(ET)(2)I-3 (ET = bis(ethylenedithio)-tetrathiafuivalene) and paraff in or polycarbonate in different mass ratios were studied. Temperature-depe ndent DC-magnetisation measurements were performed by use of a SQUID magnet ometer. The superconducting volume fraction and the onset temperature of th e composites depends on the concentration and on the polymer matrix. This i s attributed to the pressure exerted on beta (CO)-(ET)(2)I-3 by the contrac tion of the polymer matrix.
