Abstract
This report presents electronic properties of an ionic mixed-stack charge-t ransfer compound, (BEDO-TTF)(Cl(2)TCNQ), which is a magnetic insulator exhi biting Curie-Weiss behavior in magnetic susceptibility followed by a sharp drop at around 100 similar to 120K. The vibronic spectra of this compound a t low temperature clearly indicate that the observed magnetic anomaly is Pl ot associated with the conventional "spin-Peierls"-like dimeric lattice dis tortions.
