Abstract
Chlamydia pneumoniae is a common cause of respiratory tract infections , and recent evidence suggests that it may also contribute to atherosc lerosis. This review evaluates the literature to date and proposes fur ther research to determine if there is in fact a cause and effect rela tionship between C. pneumoniae infection and atherosclerosis.
