Abstract
In patients with congestive heart failure, unexplained syncope is often due to ventricular arrhythmias and associated with a poor prognosis. Electroph ysiological studies should be considered early in the work-up of syncope. I mplantation of a defibrillator might become necessary in many patients with syncope and heart failure.
