Am. Sizikov et al., Degradation of aqueous pentadecane emulsion by an anodic microdischarge: 1. General characterization of the process, HIGH ENERG, 35(3), 2001, pp. 192-196
The anode-microdischarge treatment of a pentadecane emulsion in a carbonate
electrolyte (with an Al anode) leads to decomposition of pentadecane yield
ing hydrogen, carbon monoxide, gaseous hydrocarbons, and an insoluble resid
ue. The mechanism of the process is discussed.
