Abstract
Ethyl 2-(1-oxo-1.2,3.4,5,10-hexahydroazepino[3,4-b]in-dol-5-yliden)acetate derivative la has been synthesised in good yield from indole-2-carboxylic a cid 2 via a stoichiometric intramolecular Heck reaction.
