Abstract
Efficient synthesis of highly substituted alkylpyrroles and fused pyrroles has been achieved by a three-component coupling of (a) alpha,beta -unsatura ted aldehyde/ketone, amine and nitroalkane and (b) alpha,beta -unsaturated nitroalkene, aldehyde/ketone and amine on the surface of silica gel and alu mina without any solvent under microwave irradiation.
