Abstract
This paper shows the application of the discrete scale-space kernel T( n;t) with continuous parameter to scale-space analysis of digital curv es. The numerical problems that arise in the implementation are addres sed in sequence and feasible solutions are proposed. The scale-space a nalysis is applied to corner detection. The corner detector is shown t o operate successfully on noisy curves and at varying orientation. (C) 1997 Pattern Recognition Society. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
