Abstract
A further study of the alkaloidal constituents of Delphinium cardiopet alum led to the isolation of six new norditerpenoid alkaloids, 14-benz oylnudicaulidine, 14-isobutyrylnudicaulidine, 14-(2-methylbutyryl)-nud icaulidine, 14-cis-cinnamoylnudicaulidine, 14-trans-cinnamoylnudicauli dine and 8-O-methylsachaconitine, together with the known alkaloids, 1 4-benzoyldihydrogadesine and nudicaulidine. The structures of the new alkaloids were determined by NMR spectroscopy and partial synthesis in the case of our compounds. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
