Abstract
This paper presents a two dimensional boundary element method for analysis of mechanically fastened composite repair patches. The cracked sheet is mod elled using dual boundary element technique. Mechanical fasteners are model led as linear springs whose forces are treated as point forces. The patch i s modelled using anisotropic boundary element method for analysis. An appli cation is analysed to demonstrate the applicability and accuracy of the pro posed formulation. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
