Abstract
This technical note presents a new analytical solution for consolidation an alysis of soil with vertical drains under ramp load. The solution is descri bed in detail. A new normalised time factor, T, is suggested. It is shown i n the note that the average degree of consolidation exhibits very good norm alised behaviour using this ne,v T. Results are presented in figures and ta bles for practical applications.
