The results of He et al. (1995) for the Double Cleavage Drilled Compression (DCDC) specimen are extended to cover the case where both the hole and cra ck are offset from the centerline of the specimen. The effect of the thickn ess of an adhesive layer on the value of the energy release is also investi gated. The applicability of the results to experimental studies is presente d.
