We report a case of methanol blindness. Ophthalmoscopic examination disclos ed swelling in the disc margins extending along the adjacent retinal nerve fiber layer. Although this optic neuropathy is now rare, prompt diagnosis a nd proper treatment in the acute phase can dramatically improve the prognos is.
