Abstract
The electronic structure of the layered copper oxychlorides, Sr2CuO2Cl 2 and Ba2Cu3O4Cl2 has been studied by photoemission as well as by mome ntum-dependent electron energy-loss spectroscopy. Important informatio n on the motion of holes and electron-hole pairs in Cu-O planes have b een obtained.
