Abstract
A complex analysis of magnetostatic interactions in particulate media is pe rformed by means of a micromagnetic model. The properties of the interactio n field distribution are presented for the case of structured two-dimension al media. The vector properties of the interaction field distribution are a lso analyzed. The hypothesis concerning interactions in scalar Preisach-typ e models are validated while the same hypothesis used in vector Preisach mo dels are not entirely in agreement with the physical reality in particulate media.
