MAGNETIZATION OF AL-PD-MN QUASI-CRYSTAL IN HIGH MAGNETIC-FIELD

We measured the high field magnetization process up to 30 T at 4.2 K a nd temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility in Al70Pd20Mn 10 single quasicrystal. Above 5 T the magnetization showed a clear ani sotropic behavior and is almost saturated in the magnetic field of 30 T. The Curie-Weiss behavior was observed in the temperature range betw een 40 and 150 K for the temperature dependence of susceptibility. The Curie constant, temperature-independent susceptibility and Curie temp erature were determined.
