P. Koczon et al., The influence of selected metals (Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba) on the electronic system of the p-halogenobenzoic acids, J MOL STRUC, 565, 2001, pp. 7-11
The assignment of the vibrational spectra of p-halogenobenzoic acid complex
es with Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba is proposed. The influence of the metals on the e
lectronic system of p-halogenobenzoic acids is the topic of study. The bigg
est differences in wavenumber of selected bands dependent on metal ion occu
rred within the spectral range: 1604-1612, 1550-1520, 1440-1410, 1302-1243,
1100-1090 and 875-865 cm(-1). The influence of halogen (F, Cl, Br and I) o
n the electronic system of complexes was also investigated. The effect of h
alogen was mostly seen within the spectral range: 1610-1580, 1546-1540, 118
3-1164, 1019-849 and 688-681 cm(-1). The main factor responsible for the ch
anges in the vibrational structure of the molecules was the ionic potential
