Abstract
A new principle for designing local electromagnetic eddy current trans ducer matrices is developed on the basis of theoretical and experiment al investigations. These matrices enable the number and form of the co ils in the electromagnetic matrix and their position in it to be deter mined from the known characteristics of the object under test.
