The experimental data obtained for 30 types of different piezoelectric
transducers were used to derive a generalized criteria of the acousti
c transparencies of the contact layer linking the geometrical dimensio
ns and the acoustic parameters of inclined piezoelectric transducers a
nd the height parameter of roughness of the stochastic surface of the
inspected component. An approximating equation, describing satisfactor
ily the dependence of the transmission coefficient of ultrasound for t
he contact layer of this criterion, is derived.
