Abstract
For a pair of ellipses on a plane, specified as normal two-dimensional sets, we introduce invariants depending on the coefficients of the co variance matrices of the ellipses. We determine the information conten t of a pair of signals whose dispersion ellipses do not intersect and are located outside of each other.
