Abstract
In this paper, ductile-brittle transition law and three important character istic parameters, i.e. impact toughness at room temperature (A(KV)(300)), d uctile-brittle transition temperature (T-K), and gradient of transition cur ve (K-C) are studied. According to the measured results which are processed afterwards on the computer, quantitative expressions are obtained: A(KV)(300) = f(Me); A(KV) = A(KV)(300)exp [-B(300-T/300)(2)]. The parameter B is also the function of alloying elements and temperature. The calculated results are proved to be satisfactory. (C) 2000 Elsevier Sci ence S.A. All rights reserved.
