The specialties of feline tumors with clinical relevance are discussed
. The clinical importance of tumors is a consequence of prevalence, bi
ological behavior and cofactors which increase the risk to develop a s
pecific tumor type. Among these cofactors for specific feline tumors a
re FeLV, FeSV, FIV, ultraviolet radiation and vaccination. For these c
ofactors prophylaxis and strategies for avoidance are possible.
