Abstract
A new rust species, Puccinia austroyunnanica, parasitic on Gouania leptosta chya (Rhamnaceae) collected from Xishuangbanna of tropical China is describ ed and illustrated. The relationship of the new species to other known alli ed species on the same host genus is briefly discussed.
