Abstract
A nonlocal optimization method consisting in the successive use of the gene tic algorithm and the Fiacco-McCormick procedure is proposed for the constr uctive synthesis of antennas and microwave circuits. This method is shown t o have a high efficiency by the examples of the synthesis of microwave circ uits and a thin-wire antenna with a matching section.
