We investigate temporal association in a set of globally coupled neuronal o
scillators, which retrieves time sequences of stored patterns. The asymmetr
y-to-symmetry ratio in the synaptic coupling as well as the total strength
turns out to play a major role in these phenomena. By means of numerical si
mulations, we identify four different states: the memory-retrieval state, t
he temporal association state, the mixed-memory state and the no-memory sta
te, and obtain the corresponding phase boundaries on the plane of the asymm
etry ratio and the coupling strength.
