Abstract
The discrete sources method is extended to analyze polarized light scatteri ng by three-dimensional asymmetrical features on a plane penetrable substra te. The strict mathematical model and corresponding numerical scheme are de scribed. Computer simulation results of non-spherical micro-particle scatte ring show that particle shape has a stronger effect on measured response fo r normal incident scanners.
