Abstract
We report the influence of light irradiation on the electrical properties o f oxygen deficient La(0.7)Pb(x)square 0.3-xMnO3-delta thin films with (x = 0.1) and without (x = 0.3) cation vacancies (noted by square). Transient ph otoconductivity and photoinduced insulator-metal transition occurs at low t emperatures in these thin films. Introducing cation vacancies does not incr ease the Mn4+/Mn3+ ratio but creates a sheared structure that decreases the oxygen content and can explain our transport and photoconductivity results .
