M. Tagami et al., Relationship between multiple-slipped deformation and recrystallization in< 112 > aluminum single crystal, J JPN METAL, 65(6), 2001, pp. 517-523
In order to clarify the relationship between deformation-induced structure
and formation of recrystallized grains in multipled slip regions, < 112 > a
luminum single crystal was deformed in tension to a strain of 22% at room t
emperature and then annealed at certain condition. The results obtained wer
e compared with the previous ones of < 111 > and < 001 > single crystals. N
o deformation band was observed in < 112 > specimen in addition to < 001 >
and < 111 > ones. The misorientations in the whole area of the deformed < 1
12 > specimens were within 5 degrees. More than sixty percent of recrystall
ized grains had the < 111 > rotation recrystallized relationship with the d
eformed matrix. The stress value at 22% strain and the number of the recrys
tallized grains in < 112 > specimen were relatively smaller than those in <
111 > one and larger than those of < 001 > one. The behaviors of deformati
on and recrystallization are discussed to be affected strongly by the opera
tion of cross slip.
